Day One · Seminars
Seminars focused on competition elements, with judging and refereeing instruction led by UK instructors, alongside our invited Japanese guest, Nariyama Shihan, with visiting female players.
Day Two · Competition
Competition day, with judging as the focus — everyone above blue belt given the opportunity to referee, and guidance in trying out all referee and shushin positions.

Who’s involved

Our Japanese guest, Nariyama Shihan, is invited alongside female players such as Nili, Taka, and Miki — or others he recommends. British coaches including Rachel and Céline are invited, with their travel and accommodation funded by the Fund.

Male players are welcome to attend, but all judging and refereeing focus stays on the women competing. Male referees will assist. Future tournaments will extend this focus to build a strong, knowledgeable referee and judge pool across the UK.

The Fund always prioritises the travel costs of women competing, especially those travelling from afar. Help us bring this event to life.
